Secondary Research - Addiction.

For this page on addiction I have tried to represent the ongoing cycle of trying to quit smoking and failing. I have set the photographs out in a Hexagonal structure with three photographs of Kate Moss smoking and three plain white triangles to represent the cycle. The white triangles represent the periods where you are successful of quoting smoking, however they are placed between photos of Kate Moss smoking to portray how easily you can relapse and become addicted again. I think this page is successful in portraying what I wanted it to and I like the layout in which I have presented it as it is different to all the others I have done.

For my second page on addiction I used a picture of Cara Delevinge to portray drug addiction. I cut out a section of her head and placed a picture of a selection of pills to illustrate that drugs are constantly on your mind. I used a range of drugs in the image to link back to the story and how this young girl had already tried so many drugs by the time she was 15 and how when she moved to Houston she would take any drug that she could get. I think I could make this page better by using photoshop to blend the two photographs together. I would also use a different background as I feel the page looks slightly boring.

For the final page on addiction I have used that the women in the story would do things she would not normally, do such as sleeping with people and being unable to remember it, when she is under the influence of alcohol. To illustrate this, I have used string to link drugs, sex and drinking to the image of Bahti Prinsloo to portray it as an underpaying subconscious thought. I like this page however I do not feel it represents the story I have chosen very well. If I were to redo this page I would focus more carefully on the story.
