Easter holidays.

At the beginning of the holidays I started my title page for my project. I chose to keep a common theme of black and white throughout this project, therefore I chose a black background and a black and white photo of a previous vogue cover to stick on top.
I chose to use vogue and super models throughout my project as they are portrayed as women oozing in confidence and glamorous yet some, such as Cara Delevingne, do struggle with mental illnesses. I then used a simple don't for my titles name 'normal minds?' I chose this title as people living with these illnesses would account this as normal behaviour as it is part of their normal routine to experiance episodes or to take medication to subside the effects of illnesses. The question mark is there to symbolise the argue that people who do not have to live with these illnesses would not agree that it is seen as normal.
I believe this page has worked well with the topic I have chosen, I think it has conveyed everything I was aiming it to. However, if I were to redo it again I would take more care with lining the vogue image up as it is cut slightly out of line and has crinkled in a corner from where I have tried to re alone it.

I have also started my artist research. I began looking at John William Keedy who has photographed a conceptual project exploring the world of a character who navigated living with an anxiety based mental illness.
For this page, I printed out a series of his work from this project and colleged them across two pages. Using tracing paper, so you could somewhat see the images underneath, I wrote my opinions of this project and information about it. Then sticking it to the page, but still allowing you to pull it back to fully view the images. His work inspired me to display this page like this as I wanted to show as much of his creations on two pages  as possible. I feel this page is successful in what I aimed for it to do. It shows a large number of his photographs while clearly displaying information and my opinions on it without distracting you away from his work too much. If I were to do this artist research again, I would print the images smaller so I would be able to fit the whole of his project onto the pages.
