After researching 1960 beach fashion I found that swim hats were very popular, therefore I decided to design a page based on this accessory. I feel that a lot of the designs were very pretty and designed in pastel colours, so I chose to do a background using this colour scheme, I mixed gauche paint to achieve the desired colours and used card to scrape each colour across the page. I then collaged images of swim hats on top. I like this page as it clearly illustrates swim hats in a bright and colourful way, however, I wish I had played more with designs and maybe tried to paint my own swim hat to make the page more engaging.
