Birds of Paradise.

Over the summer holidays, I went away to Mauritius where they displayed these flowers. This then influenced me in trying to draw them to capture the bright colours. I again used watercolours on this piece as they give a brighter more pigmented effect then ordinary coloured pencils do. However, I did not give the drawing a wash over with water to blend the colours together. I like this page as I like how the watercolored pencils gives off a bright contrasting feel on the black paper.
