Bee

As bees are a very popular insect, especially in my garden, I decided to draw one. For the bee, I used coloured pencils as well as watercolored pencils to shade in its body. Using water colours was not the best idea for this page as the black smudged, leaving the bee to look slightly messy. For the background, I created a honeycomb stencil and used it to print this background onto the black paper using a sponge and paintbrush. Although I do like the effect it has given I feel the background looks messy as the stencil ripped in some places due to being too wet.
